Let the edges catch the light.
Hold the phone at a slight angle against a plain background. Photograph visible edges and the charging port. If there is damage, include it clearly in this photo.
Show the back and camera lenses.
Remove the case and place the phone face down on a clean surface. Photograph the whole back in focus, including the camera lenses and any cracks.
